Progress on No More Heroes continues

Posted by Ransom09 - July 9th, 2008

I received very positive feedback from a few people on the current state of my No More Heroes game, so I've decided to keep working on it. I cleaned up a couple of my scripts, took out a script-heavy and unnecessary control element (jumping), and it's looking a lot better!

If you played the demo of my InuYasha game on MiniGame Mayhem, that had a lot of positive feedback as well, and I'll have you know that No More Heroes looks, controls, and plays a thousand times better. InuYasha was slow, glitchy, and ugly.

You can always play the latest progress of NMH: The Flash Version here.

Leave a comment and let me know what you think of my current progress! Your feedback, good or bad, keeps me going!

Swishaaa!!

could i perhaps reccomend the ability to duel weild at some point and then maybe different death moves for different weapons. If you ever need ideas ask me because until i buy the flash pro i need to make animation thats all i'll be doing. Thinking of ideas.

Pretty early on I decided to stick to one weapon, though you will be able to train and upgrade your strength.

cool thats fine. I got a question, will this be more of a puzzle game where you will have to solve things like hitting statues or killing certain enemies to find the right keys to win certain bonus rooms or something?

You'll definitely see puzzles, hidden rooms, easter eggs, etc. etc., but the main assassination missions focus mostly on combat.

What you see in my demo is just what one part of the game will be. Between assassinations you'll be in Santa Destroy where you can pick up part-time jobs for cash for training, upgrading your beam katana, etc., just like in the console No More Heroes, so there's much more than just killing people, though I hope that'll be what's most fun.
